Have you met the Dixon family? Joe, Janelle, Jack, and Lucy joined our church on January 25. They also have an older daughter, Sophie Claire, who is a student at The University of Alabama. We hope you'll get to know them a little better through this latest "Meet Our New Member" blog, and that you'll have the chance to connect with them one Sunday in worship.
Tell us about your family. Joe and Janelle have three children: Sophie Claire, Jack, and Lucy.
Where did you work or go to school? Lucy: 7th grade at MBJH; Jack: 12th grade at MBHS; Sophie Claire: student at The University of Alabama; Janelle: Everley Law, LLC; Joe: SouthState Bank
What led you to Mountain Brook Baptist Church? Lucy and Eleanor Splawn were in the same class when they were in elementary school at Brookwood Forest. When Eleanor learned that we were looking for a new church, she said, “Why don’t you come to mine?” and the rest is history.
What is your favorite Bible verse? Genesis 33:14 - "So let my lord go on ahead of his servant, while I move along slowly at the pace of the flocks and herds before me and the pace of the children, until I come to my lord in Seir.”
What are some of your hobbies and interests? We enjoy participating in our children’s activities.
What is a fun fact other people may not know about you? We are NASCAR fans!
