Have you met AnneScott and Eric Averett? They joined our church on November 16. We hope you'll get to know them a little better through this latest "Meet Our New Member" blog, and that you'll have the chance to connect with them one Sunday in worship.
Tell us about your family. Eric is from Enterprise, AL, and I grew up in Birmingham. We met post-grad here in Birmingham in 2020 and married in October 2023! We welcomed our first baby, Collins, in November 2024! We are enjoying our first year of being parents to our little girl
Where do you go to work? My husband is a CPA at Carr, Riggs, & Ingram, and I am an OR RN at UAB
What led you to Mountain Brook Baptist Church? The community! We felt at home after our first visit. Everyone was so kind and welcoming, and that is exactly what we both wanted in our home church.
What is your favorite Scripture passage and favorite praise song? Philippians 4:6-7, "Gratitude" by Brandon Lake.
What are some of your hobbies and interests? My husband and I both love spending time with friends and family, being active, and shopping for me. My husband would also say hunting and fishing in his spare time.
