Have you met Cathy Spence? Cathy has been serving as our church pianist for several years, and also joined Mountain Brook Baptist on December 24, 2023. We hope you'll get to know her a little better through this latest "Meet Our New Member" blog, and that you'll have the chance to connect with her one Sunday in worship.
Tell us about your family. I have a daughter, Molly, who is in medical school, a dog named Lilly, and a grand furbaby, Bentley!
Where do you work? I am a vocal instructor at Alabama School of Fine Arts.
What led you to Mountain Brook Baptist Church? I first came to MBBC to serve as the pianist but grew up Baptist and decided to make MBBC my church home!
What is your favorite hymn? "Great Is Thy Faithfulness"
What are some of your hobbies and interests? Baking, reading, playing piano
What is a fun fact other people may not know about you? I was an opera singer with Kansas City Opera - and now occasionally in Birmingham too!
