"Equipping servant hearted followers of Christ” is the vision statement of the student ministry here at Mountain Brook Baptist Church. Each word in this statement was carefully chosen to guide decision-making and direction for the youth group. We want students to be equipped to “own” their faith, so they grow to be mature believers transformed by the Gospel.
We hope that their transformation in Christ will cause them to be disciple-makers, serving the cause of the Kingdom above all else.
Sunday Morning Bible Study
On Sunday mornings during the school year, we gather together in the youth area for an introduction to our lesson and then break into smaller groups (Jr. High Girls, Jr. High Guys, and Sr. High Girls & Guys) for our study. Our small groups on Sunday mornings are places for in-depth Bible study, dialogue, discussion, and prayer. Our prayer is that hearts would be transformed through studying Scripture and that students would be equipped to own their faith.
During the summer, we combine groups and have a large-group study in the youth area.
Check out our Summer Calendar! Here are some events we want to highlight:
Our chapel choir will meet on Sunday evenings from 5-6pm in the choir room. Anyone can be a part of chapel choir! The choir will perform during Youth Sunday and at other times of the year and is led by our Minister of Music Kely Hatley.
Our July Summer Sunday will be a movie night in Heritage Hall on July 23 from 6-8pm!
We'll meet on these Wednesdays for a devotion in the youth area, followed by lunch and a fun activity!
Our summer service projects will be at Serving You - check out the specific dates and sign up by visiting this page!
