MEET OUR MINISTERS
Dr. Hull has been with Mountain Brook Baptist Church since 1991. and serves as Theologian in Residence.
Growing up in Birmingham, Dr. Hull attended Hunter Street Baptist Church, Central Park Baptist Church and Dawson Memorial Baptist Church. At the age of nine he became a Christian and was baptized at Central Park Baptist.
Before becoming a part of MBBC, Dr. Hull served in numerous academic positions at The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary, Baptist Theological Seminary in Switzerland, Louisiana State University School of Medicine, Nigerian Baptist Theological Seminary and Samford University. He recently served as Provost and is currently Research Professor at Samford University.
Dr. Hull was ordained in 1950 at Dawson Memorial Baptist Church. He has served as pastor of Beulah Baptist in Wetumpka, Alabama, Cedar Hill Baptist in Owenton, Kentucky, First Baptist in New Castle, Kentucky and First Baptist in Shreveport, Louisiana.
He and his wife, Wylodine, have two adult children and two adult grandchildren.
