Holy Week begins Sunday, March 29. Consider joining us for our Holy Week services as we meditate on the life, death, and resurrection of Christ, and the hope that we have because of the truth of the gospel - Christ has died, Christ is risen, Christ is coming again!

On Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday (March 30-April 1) of Holy Week we will gather in the Chapel Music Suite for a short morning service. Aubrey Miller, pastor of Faith Church, will be our guest preacher. Following the service, we'll have breakfast options available for you to grab as you leave for work or school. Registrations are encouraged so we can make plans for food.
Join us for an interactive family experience to reflect on the life of Jesus and the events that led up to his crucifixion and resurrection. We will enjoy crafts, dinner, prayer stations, music, and more. Registrations are encouraged so we can make plans for food.
At this year's Maundy Thursday service, Ethan McVay will preach, and we will celebrate the Lord's Supper. Following the Lord’s supper, the Sanctuary Choir will present composer K. Lee Scott’s four-movement work, “The Suffering Servant.” This work is a musical setting of Isaiah 53. Adam Clarke, a British Methodist theologian and Biblical scholar says, “This chapter foretells the sufferings of the Messiah, the end for which he was to die, and the advantages resulting to mankind from that illustrious event.” The Sanctuary Choir will be accompanied by a string quintet. This service will conclude with the traditional stripping of the altar and the chant setting of Psalm 22 as the lights are dimmed to darkness. Childcare for 2K and under will be provided.
Dr. Wayne Splawn will preach at this year's Good Friday Service. Following the service, lunch will be served in Heritage Hall. Registrations are encouraged so we can make plans for food. Childcare for 2K and under will be provided.
Good Friday Lunch Menu Catered by Eugene’s Hot Chicken:

This year, we have three opportunities for worship on Easter Sunday at Mountain Brook Baptist Church. Please note the change in times from our normal Sunday schedule. In order to accommodate a large crowd for Easter, we will offer three services in the Sanctuary, along with a sunrise service at Hope Community Church. Sunday School classes will not meet.
*Due to the crowd we anticipate, please register if you plan to attend an Easter service in the Sanctuary (members of the praise band, choir, and orchestra do not need to register). Choose the service you plan to attend and register below or call the church office (205-871-0331). Be sure to register your child if you need childcare.
6:30 a.m. Sunrise Service at Hope Community Church (no registration needed)
Join us for a short sunrise service at Hope Community Church in partnership with St. Peter's Anglican Church and Hope Community Church. We'll sing familiar Easter hymns, read the Easter story, and hear a short reflection from Jacob Simmons as we watch the sunrise together.
