Holy Week

Holy Week begins Sunday, March 24. Consider joining us for our Holy Week services as we meditate on the life, death, and resurrection of Christ, and the hope that we have because of the truth of the gospel - Christ has died, Christ is risen, Christ is coming again!

Palm Sunday on March 24

Make plans to join us for worship on Sunday, March 24 for Palm Sunday. Dr. Wayne Splawn will preach on Isaiah 40:1-5 and Luke 19:28-40.

Holy Week Services at Noon*

On Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Friday of Holy Week we will gather in the Sanctuary for worship services. Our guest preacher for Monday-Wednesday is Dr. Gary Fenton. Here is the schedule:

Holy Week Lenten Lunches

Each day a Lenten Lunch will be served in Heritage Hall following the 12 p.m. services for $10 per person. Reservations are encouraged. View the menu and register online through Realm by clicking this link

Maundy Thursday*                       

Our Maundy Thursday Service will take place on March 28 at 6:30 p.m. in the Sanctuary. Dr. Wayne Splawn will preach on Isaiah 43:19-21 and we will celebrate the Lord's Supper. The Sanctuary Choir will also present the gospel of John’s account of the passion of Christ in a sung, unaccompanied chanted form with short choral choruses from Tomas Luis de Victoria. Chris Farley, Ben Ellis, Aaron McLeod, and Matt Rich will be soloists.

Journey to the Cross Event for Families

Join us on Good Friday, March 29 from 5:30-7:30 p.m. for an interactive family experience to reflect on the life of Jesus and the events that led up to his crucifixion and resurrection. We will enjoy family dinner, prayer, and thoughtful stations for reflection as we think about why Jesus died for us on the cross. Register on Realm by clicking this link

Easter Sunday on March 31

Community Sunrise Service at Mountain Brook High School
Join us for a joint Sunrise Service in collaboration with Brookwood Baptist and St. Stephen’s Episcopal at Mountain Brook High School's football stadium on Easter Sunday at 6:30 a.m.

Services at MBBC
Celebrate Christ's resurrection with us as we join together in worship at MBBC. Dr. Wayne Splawn will preach on Isaiah 54:4-10. 

  • 9 a.m. Traditional Worship Service (featuring brass quartet and timpani) | Sanctuary
  • 11 a.m. Contemporary Worship Service | Sanctuary
