Tornado Relief

Making a Difference in Tornado Relief

Mountain Brook Baptist Church
May 19, 2011
We had originally planned on going to Cahaba Heights this Saturday to work the Birmingham Baptist Association in cleanup efforts. However, after talking at more length with the gentleman heading up the project there, it was clear that the efforts in Cahaba Heights are coming to a close and that there might not be enough work to keep the group busy.

So, we will not work in Cahaba Heights this Saturday, but will instead head back to Pleasant Grove, AL to work with Bethel Baptist Church. We will leave the church at 8 a.m. and will plan on returning mid to late afternoon. The gentleman heading up the work at Bethel Baptist Church said that he really needs people to run chainsaws this Saturday. Those in the group who are not running chainsaws will be moving limbs and debris to the road. You will need to wear long pants, closed-toed shoes and bring work gloves. Please let me know if you plan on coming Saturday and if you can bring and operate a chainsaw. If you have any questions, please give me a call.

Thank you for all that you have done and will do to serve the people in Pleasant Grove in the name of Jesus Christ.
